Community Grants
Investing in Mold’s Future
Do you have an idea that could make a difference in Mold? Whether you're organising a community event, supporting local people, promoting culture, improving wellbeing or launching a new initiative, Mold Town Council wants to help bring your vision to life.
Each year, we allocate £3,350 through our Community Grants Programme to support projects and organisations that enrich our town and strengthen our community. From youth groups and sports clubs to charities, volunteers and local organisations, our grants help turn great ideas into reality.
Who Can Apply?
You may be eligible if:
- Your project, activity or event will benefit the people of Mold.
- You are a charity, voluntary organisation, community group or even an informal local group.
- Your proposal supports at least one of the seven Well-being Goals for Wales under the Well-being of Future Generations (Wales) Act 2015:
- A Prosperous Wales
- A Resilient Wales
- A Healthier Wales
- A More Equal Wales
- A Wales of Cohesive Communities
- A Wales of Vibrant Culture and Thriving Welsh Language
- A Globally Responsible Wales
- Your organisation has not already received a Community Grant from Mold Town Council during the current financial year.
What Can We Fund?
Our grants can help with a wide range of community projects, including:
- Purchasing new or replacement equipment that enables your group to deliver its activities.
- Running local events, performances, concerts or community activities.
- Establishing a new voluntary or charitable organisation serving the Mold community.
- Supporting initiatives that create lasting benefits for local residents.
The Council may also consider requests towards the general running costs of organisations. In some circumstances, support may be committed for up to three years, with these applications considered annually at the January meeting of the Town Council.
How to Apply
Applying is straightforward. Simply contact the Town Clerk at townclerk@moldtowncouncil.org.uk to request an application form, or download the Community Grants Application Form to complete electronically.
All applications are assessed by the Finance Committee against the criteria set out in the Mold Town Council Community Grant Policy before a decision is made.
