Services Delivered
Mold Town Council is one of 34 town and community councils within the County of Flintshire, the new unitary authority created after a re-organisation of local government in Wales in 1996.
What we Do
Mold Town Council is committed to making a positive difference to the lives of residents, businesses and visitors. We invest in the services, facilities and events that make Mold a thriving, welcoming and distinctive market town.
Looking After Our Community Assets
We proudly manage and maintain important local facilities, including:
- Mold Cemetery, ensuring it remains a peaceful, respectful and award-winning place of remembrance.
- The Bailey Hill Centre, supporting this important community venue and historic setting as a hub for activities, meetings and events.
- Tourist Information Panels throughout the town, helping visitors discover Mold’s rich history, attractions and local businesses.
Enhancing the Town
We help make Mold an attractive and vibrant place by providing:
- Colourful hanging baskets, floral displays and seasonal planting.
- The town’s Christmas Tree and festive lighting displays, creating a welcoming atmosphere during the holiday season.
- Green salt bins across the town, helping to improve safety during periods of ice and snow.
Bringing the Community Together
Mold is known for its lively community spirit, and the Town Council plays a key role in making that happen.
We support and organise a packed year-round calendar of events, bringing thousands of people into the town and boosting local businesses. From seasonal celebrations and family activities to cultural events and civic occasions, these events create opportunities for people to connect, celebrate and enjoy everything Mold has to offer.
Supporting Local Organisations
We invest in the organisations that strengthen our community by:
- Awarding community grants to local charities, clubs and voluntary groups.
- Providing ongoing financial support to organisations that deliver valuable services for residents.
- Supporting initiatives such as summer playschemes, ensuring children and families have access to enjoyable activities during the school holidays.
- Supporting cultural organisations, including the Mold Town Concert Band

Supporting Local Democracy
We also provide the essential services that keep your Town Council running, including:
