Mold is the historic county town of Flintshire and a thriving market town at the heart of the local area. Home to more than 10,000 residents, the town also serves a much wider community, with people from surrounding villages and rural areas coming into Mold for shopping, education, employment, leisure, services and community activities.
Mold has a strong and distinctive identity, combining its history and heritage with a busy and vibrant town centre. Our popular street market, together with the livestock market, continues the town’s long tradition as an important centre for trade and brings residents and visitors into the heart of Mold throughout the year.
The town is also home to a fantastic range of independent businesses, community groups, schools, sports clubs and organisations, alongside cultural and leisure facilities including Theatr Clwyd, one of Wales’ leading arts and cultural venues.

We work alongside Flintshire County Council, local organisations, businesses, community groups and other partners to support projects, events and initiatives and to help achieve the best possible outcomes for Mold.

Mold Town Council is committed to openness and transparency in its governance. This page brings together the Council's principal strategic and statutory documents, covering financial management, audit, conduct, data protection, and policy. Members of the public are welcome to contact the Council if they require any of these documents in an alternative format.
Meetings of the Full Council are normally held on the last Wednesday of each month at 6:00pm, except during August and December when the Council is in recess. Members of the public are welcome to attend to observe the proceedings.

At a special meeting of Mold Town Council on Wednesday 15th March the Town Plan was approved and adopted by members. Also present at the meeting was a representative of the original Steering Group Mr John Reynolds, Chair of Mold Business Forum. They welcomed the excellent Plan which covers everything the Town Council and community have had concerns about.
