Mold Town Youth Council
Empowering Young Voices
Young people are the future of Mold and their ideas, experiences and ambitions matter. The Mold Town Youth Council provides a platform for children and young people to share their views, influence local decision making and play and active role in shaping the future for their community.
Working alongside elected Members of the Youth and Children's Council Committee, the Youth Council brings together representatives from local schools to discuss the issues that matter most to them – from the environment and community safety to wellbeing, education and opportunities for young people.
Award-Winning Youth Engagement
In recognition of its outstanding work, the Mold Town Youth Council was honoured with the Best Youth Engagement Project award at the 2025 One Voice Wales Awards. This prestigious accolade celebrates the Council's commitment to ensuring that young people are heard, valued and empowered to make a genuine difference in their town.

The Youth Council is made up of two groups, each meeting quarterly throughout the year:
Primary School Youth Town Council
Representatives from local primary schools come together to share ideas, raise concerns and work collaboratively on initiatives that improve life for children and families in Mold.

Secondary School Youth Town Council
Students from Mold’s secondary schools meet regularly to discuss topics affecting teenagers and young adults, helping to shape local priorities and contribute fresh perspectives to Council discussions.
