Celebrating the People Who Make Mold Special

Whether through volunteering, supporting local causes, inspiring others through sport, running a community-focused business or delivering projects that bring people together, these awards shine a spotlight on the people whose efforts have a positive impact on our town.

Award Categories

Young Volunteer Award

Recognising individuals or groups under the age of 25 who have made an outstanding contribution to the community through volunteering and community involvement.

Volunteer Award

Recognising individuals or groups aged 25 and over who have demonstrated exceptional commitment to improving the lives of others through volunteering and community service.

Business of the Year

Awarded to a local business, retailer, market trader or service provider that has shown outstanding commitment to the community, whether through charitable work, community support or exceptional customer service.

Sporting Achievement Award

Celebrating individuals or teams who have achieved sporting success, demonstrated outstanding ability or inspired others to participate in sport. This may include coaches, volunteers, administrators and those who support sporting opportunities within the community.

Community Project or Event of the Year

Recognising projects, initiatives or events that have made a significant positive impact within the community. This may include community events, environmental projects, charitable initiatives or activities that have brought people together and improved the lives of local residents.

Mayor’s Choice Award

Selected by the Mayor of Mold, this special award recognises an individual or organisation that has made an exceptional contribution to the community or whose actions have inspired and benefited others in a truly remarkable way.

Nominations

Members of the public are encouraged to nominate individuals, groups, businesses and organisations that deserve recognition for their contribution to the Mold community.

There is no limit to the number of nominations that can be submitted, and nominations are welcomed across all award categories.

Recognising Local Excellence

The Mold Community Awards provide an opportunity to celebrate the dedication, kindness, talent and community spirit that make Mold such a special place. Through these awards, Mold Town Council is proud to recognise those who work tirelessly to support others, strengthen our community and inspire future generations.

Nominations are invited during the annual Community Awards programme. Details of when nominations open, how to submit a nomination and key dates for the awards will be advertised on the Mold Town Council website, social media channels and other Council communications.
