Member of Flintshire County Council for East Ward of Mold

I am a County Councillor and Mold Town Councillor for Mold East Ward which I have been proud to represent for 56 years having served on Mold Urban District Council (1970-74), Borough Council (1974-96), Flintshire County Council (1996- ) and as a member of the Town Council since its inception in 1974. I have also served as Town Mayor on three occasions.

At County Level I have been Cabinet member for 20 years - first as Cabinet Member for Education, Leisure and Children’s Services and then as Cabinet Member for Planning, Public Health and Public Protection.

I am currently the Chair of the Clwyd Pension Fund Committee, serve as a County representative on the North Wales Police and Crime Commissioner’s Panel.

Before retiring I was a teacher and Deputy Headteacher of a large Comprehensive School in the County. I have served as a Trustee and Board member of several local charities and I am a founder Member of the Mold and District Civic Society. I am a local historian and a member of St Mary’s Parish Church.

As a Mold man born, raised and educated, I have always taken a keen interest in my town and been keen to serve it, see it cherished and carefully looked after for the current and future generations.
